Photography Glossary (Starting of New Topic)

Soon from now, I’ll increase the topic in my blog. I’m going to blog about photography. For people who would like to learn about photography and DSLR from the basic, you are welcomed to visit my blog.
For the beginning, I post about the photography glossary. It would be helpful if you understand the short form of the terms because you can understand what other photographers talk about easily.

These are some important Photography Glossary
DSLR - Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera

SLR - Single Lens Reflex Camera

PSAM / PASM Modes - Camera Modes: Program/Shutter/Aperture/Manual

AF / MF - Auto Focus / Manual Focus

Shutter Speed - Length of time a shutter is open

Aperture - Size of opening in lens to allow light into camera

ISO - Sensitivity of Sensor or  International Standards Organisation

F. Number - A number describing the inverse relation to the Aperture. Small F number E.g. F2.8 has a bigger aperture than F5.6

EV - Exposure Value or Exposure Compensation Value

Focal Length - Level of 'zoom' of the lens (ie. 35mm)

DOF - Depth of Field

Bokeh - Out of focus backgrounds (Background blur)

IS / VR - Image Stabilisation / Vibration Reduction

RGB - Red, Green, Blue

CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black)

WB - White Balance (Colour Model)

CCD - Charge Coupled Device (Image Sensor)

CMOS  - Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor, Image Sensor capable of High ISO

CF Card - Compact Flash (Memory Card)

SD Card - Secure Digital Memory Card

JPG / JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group (Image Type)

TIF / TIFF - Tagged Image File Format (Image Type)

Pixel - One of the many dots that form an image

MP - Megapixel (or one million Pixels)

DPI / PPI - Dots Per Inch / Pixels Per Inch

How to Invite All Friends In facebook

Have you create a page, event or group in facebook? Or doing social media marketing in facebook...

If you have done these, you must have the experience of suggesting or inviting people to join or like the page, event or group.

Why?

Because if you have 800 friends in your facebook friend list, you have to mouse click 800 times to select all your friends and invite all of them to join or like your page, event or group! And try to imagine, some people have more than 3000 friends, they have to click 3000 times in order to select all, it is very time consuming!

But, don’t worry, there is a solution for you! You can invite all friends in your friend list with just some simple steps! It is so efficient!

Follow my simple steps and you will learn new thing!

1. Look at the javascript below, it is a Java programming language! Select all and copy it…

2. Open you facebook page, event or group!

For example, http://www.facebook.com/sogostudiodc (LIKE the page before invite your friends to LIKE)

3. Click on Invite or Suggest friends to like, attend or join your page, event or group. Wait for the friend list box to Pop-Up until it has finished loading.

4. Paste the Javascript which you have copy just now on your web browser address bar and press ENTER

5. You can see your friend list Pop-Up box, all your friends have been selected. You can click on Invite, or Send now!

You have successfully invite or suggest to all your friends! The mission accomplished!

Graphic Design with Adobe Softwares

The 2nd week of the "Graphic Design with Adobe Softwares" training organized by Sogo Studio Designers Community!

I've shared the skills of Adobe Illustrator for 2 training classes which consist of basic tools like Shape, Selection, Color, Direction Selection, Type....

We are having 3rd class next week, and it is the last training class for Adobe Illustrator!

The lesson is getting more challenging, will teach pen tool and effect on next class, hopefully the participants are able to catch up!

Moving on, the Adobe Photoshop training, participants will be explored to basic photo editing, drawing through Photoshop, combination of softwares and so on ...
